1949 Ford Coupe - SOLD!!!

Vehicles seen by appointment only.

This 1949 Ford Club Coupe is the highlight of the show wherever it goes. The car was purchased by its last owner  in California where he lived at the time. The car was built in 1991-1992 and is absolutley gorgeous! The car is a 49 with a few 1950 and 1951 touches such as the fuel door, front parking lights and the dash. The shoebox has won many awards and been featured in numerous magazines and on the cover of a couple. The look of the car is timeless and we wanted to keep it that away. The car was previously owned by Jerry Moreland, he hired Bob Bauder to build the car for him at the time. Right after it was finished it had a stay at Reggie's museum. Bob Orrick purchased the car at that point in 2003 from Reggie. We purchased the car from Bob this year. The car was originally built with a SOHC cammer engine and was very well known for it! FOMCO purchased the Cammer to display in their museum in Detroit a couple of years ago. Now for the build... The paint and body on this car are both really nice. There is one pimple in the front corner of the drivers door but thats it.... (the car was painted over 23 years ago) The body is very straight and the chrome and britework is very nice also. All of the rubber and glass is in great condition too. This car still appears very fresh! I spoke with Bauder this week and he stated that the car was a really nice original rust free western car when he started on it. The new engine is a FE 428 CJ stroked to 462 CID. The FE has Eldelbrock aluminum heads and waterpump, FAST fuel injection, MSD ignition and black coated headers. The chassis has a S-10  front clip and is 4 linked in the rear. The frame is boxed for durability. The transmission is a B&M C 6 and the rear axle is a 8 and 3/4 Chrysler with 3:73 gearing and a posi unit. The Wheels are vintage American Racing 16's on the rear and 15's on the front with a small Chevy Bolt pattern. The car sounds awesome with 3 inch exhaust ran all the way out the back and exiting through the custom bumper. This shoebox is very reliable and runs out great on the interstate at 70 mph. On the inside the car has its original interior from the build less the carpeting which was just freshened from the firewall to the rear bumper a week ago. The materials are very nice in the car, we cant believe that it wa done so many years back!. The seats and headliner are both very nice with no damage. The door panels are unbelievably perfect with no warping or gaps where they are affixed to the door. The car has a 51 Ford dash in it with a custom aluminum instrument panel by TPI. The white faced gauges are all working but the speedo, it was never hooked up way back when. The interior is highlighted by the Vintage Lincoln steering wheel which we just restored. A Lokar shifter was in stalled at the time of the engine swap along with a new wiring harness. The FAST Fuel injection controller is mounted in the middle of the dash to moniter the engine vitals. Shoulder harness seat belts were installed along with electric wipers for saftey. Power steering and power disc brakes make this one a snap to drive!. Dont miss out on this one call Scott at 615 476 1195.  DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL...
